As of today we are one step closer to finishing Cayden's room. His bunk bed arrived today!! Let's catch everyone up on the bunk bed story. We had been talking about getting Cayden a bunk bed for a while because...basically what kid would not want a bunk bed...? But we were not about to shell out $1500-$2000 for one. One visit to trusty "google" and we are in touch with Myra's Bunk Beds. Nice guy out of Greensboro, NC who makes bunk beds out of his garage. We sent him a picture of the bed we liked from some place about a barn and he says , "yeah I can make that". For a 1/4" of the price we now have us a handmade bunk bed that is going to be hell if we move. We chose to go with the natural stain for 2 reasons. 1 reason being we could not decide on an espresso color and 2. we could paint it or stain it a different color fairly easily.
As you can see Cayden is loving it.
